| What a pleasant surprise to find out that this book has so much more packed into it than just a fun story about chocolate. Christmas Turtles is an excellent book about family traditions. The grandmother in the book makes caramel turtles with her grandchildren in a special way that makes them feel loved, as grandmothers are so great at doing! The book wonderfully illustrates how important family is, including aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as helps us to realize how people express love in different ways. What great things to teach children! |
