Colored Chocolate: How To Make a Painted Cross

Painted White Chocolate Cross

Painted White or Dark Chocolate Cross

Melt Guittard molding chocolate in 30-second intervals to avoid scorching. If desired, add strawberry or other oil to enhance flavor.

Color about 1/4 cup of the white chocolate with red and green coloring. Be sure to use coloring with no water added. Fill squeeze bottles with colored chocolate.

Paint in the flowers and leaves inside the mold and let cool for 5 minutes.

Fill the back half of the mold with white chocolate and place in the freezer for 15 minutes. Remove from mold when cool.

Fill the front half of the cross mold with white chocolate and place carefully the back half of the chocolate cross onto the warm melted front half, carefully lining up all the edges.

Place in freezer for 15 minutes.
