Melt Guittard white chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between. Set a small amount aside. Add yellow candy coloring to the small amount of chocolate. Just 3 drops or so to get a light yellow color. Place this yellow chocolate into the candy painting bottle. Carefully paint in the owls eyes and nose inside the mold with the yellow chocolate.
Let the yellow chocolate cool in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. Fill in the rest of the mold cavity, while also covering the yellow chocolate, with the remainder of the white chocolate. Slide a sucker stick into the warm white chocolate and turn it so the chocolate covers the stick completely.
Tap the owl halloween sucker mold on the counter to make sure there are no bubbles on the front of the mold, and to help the white chocolate reach the edge of the mold. Place in the freezer for 15 minutes. Pop out of the mold and use a sucker bag and ribbon to decorate!
Kids love owls any time of the year, but at Halloween time, owls are even more fun! These owls will even please the younger children because they aren't scary looking like other Halloween molds can be.
Molds will not tolerate temperatures above 165 degrees Fahrenheit. This temperature should never be exceeded when using clear plastic molds. Our chocolate molds may be used for butter, plaster, cement, Jell-O, fondant, gum paste, etc.
