Oval Rose Bonbon Mold
Each piece is 1" x 1¼" x 1/4 "
This mold makes approximately 50 pieces per pound of chocolate.
Use this mold to creat a lovely candy. Color the roses with white chocolate
and candy coloring to create a 3-D effect. Add peppermint oil to the melted
chocolate for a yummy flavor of mint.
Make this Bonbon:
Melt Guittard milk chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring every 30 seconds and add 10 drops of peppermint flavoring oil. Set aside.
Melt Guittard white chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring in between. Set 2 bowls with small amounts of the white chocolate aside. Add violet candy coloring to one of the bowls. Just 3 drops or so to get a light color. To the other bowl add 3 drops of red candy coloring. Place this pink chocolate into one candy painting bottle. and the violet into another candy painting bottle.
Carefully paint in the flowers with violet and pink chocolate. Let the colored chocolate cool in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Fill in the rest of the cavity, while also covering the pink and violet chocolate, with the milk chocolate.
Tap the mold on the counter to make sure there are no bubbles on the front of the mold, and to help the white chocolate reach the edge of the mold. Place in the freezer for 15 minutes. Pop out of the mold and use an oreo size bag and ribbon to decorate!
Molds will not tolerate temperatures above 165
degrees Fahrenheit. This temperature should never be exceeded when using clear
plastic molds. Our chocolate molds may be used for butter, plaster, cement,
Jell-O, fondant, gum paste, etc.
