Silver Luster Dust for Cakes and Candy
So you want to make that candy sparkle and shine. Or how about a cake or a cookie? This silver luster dust gives you a nice subtle shimmery touch you have been looking for.
Silver Luster Dust

Much finer than the glitter, luster dust can be brushed on the chocolate after it has cooled. Use luster dust to add a shimmery touch to cakes, candies and cookie projects.
2 grams. Use the luster dust
to add to any chocolate and mold for a beautiful silver feel. Use very little of the luster dust for a beautiful shine. Use with candy paint brush. We also have real silver dust!
Dark Chocolate Mousse Cake with Edible Silver Dust
Use: 8 in or 9 in tart tin
1 tablespoon ground almonds plus extra for dusting
1 bag of Guittard dark chocolate
1/2 cup of sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter
pinch of salt
5 large eggs
edible gold dust
Preheat the oven to 350F. Brush the tin with a little melted butter and edible gold dust with the ground almonds. Shake off any excess gold dust.
Melt the chocolate, sugar, butter and salt in a microwave bowl in 30-second intervals, stir in between intervals.
Whisk the eggs with the ground almonds and fold into the chocolate mixture. The mixture will thicken after a few minutes. Pour into the cake tin and bake for 35-40 minutes.
Let the cake cool, then dust with edible gold dust.
